Should add @livenewscameras http://twitter.com/livenewscameras . They have off-air feeds coming from tons of local TV stations and a live moderator tweets what is interesting to watch. Press conferences, events, election rallies. Pretty cool.
Could probably add http://www.twitter.com/mlive to the "other" category. We set out to follow everyone from Michigan and aggregate their tweets at http://www.mlive.com/twitter - It's a network we're still working on developing, but has come in handy for sending out breaking news.

Ah, forgot to mention. My site is MLive.com, the online arm of Booth Newspapers in Michigan. We have eight newspapers, but none of them are actively managing their own Twitter accounts at present.
The Colorado Springs Gazette uses twitter, at twitter.com/csgazette. Any stories that are posted in our breaking news section of the Web site get pushed out automatically.

At The Courier Mail in Brisbane, Australia, there are actually about 21 Twitter accounts running, ranging from breaking news (listed in your post) to sport, features, and entertainment news. The New York Times also has a whole bunch of feeds, as does the BBC and some of the larger media organisations. I did a post a while ago documenting Australian media using Twitter. As a point to Geoff about The Age, that Twitter feed hasn't been updated since May last year.

The News-Press in Fort Myers, FL has a Twitter account, albeit we're just now beginning to get into the flow of using it...
South African newsrooms are also experimenting with Twitter, but its adoption as a mainstream tool has been limited by limited bandwidth and awareness. Tweets from the online voice of Grocott's Mail - the oldest independent newspaper in South Africa can be found at http://www.twitter.com/grocotts.

Fleet Owner magazine, which covers the trucking industry, recently started a Twitter page. It can be found at http://twitter.com/fleetowner. It also uses Disqus for article commenting.

I'm noticing a whole load of media companies that now use Twitter, but don't think they all use them effectively. Some have so many tweets that it becomes hard to keep up and rather annoying too. I think some (not all) media companies need to evaluate their use of Twitter so followers aren't bombarded with tweets.
